Oats Idli/Dosai

Ingredients :-

Brown Rice - 1 cup

Rolled Oats - 2 cups

Urad Dhal - 3/4 to 1 cup

Method :-

Soak brown rice and rolled oats together for few hours. Soak urad dhal seperately for an hour.

Grind them in a blender or grinder.

Note: Grind the urad dhal first and then grind brown rice and rolled oats.
Mix them together, add salt to taste and cover it. Let it ferment overnight or for 7-8 hours.

Use the batter to make idlis or dosais!

If you normally eat idlis or dosais made traditionally with par-boiled rice, I bet you won't notice much difference in the taste. The batter can be little mushy but the idlis or dosais come out as good as the regular ones!
